Mark Zuckerberg creates this amazing METAverse. Everybody is so excited about it and it is easy to notice. Just look at the growing price of META stocks. Ok… literally nothing about what I said is true. META shares plunge more than many of us would expect. Fortunately, there are other metaverse projects. They are way more exciting than Mark’s product. Today we are going to look into Voxverse!

First of all, let’s explain what Vox is. I hasten to inform you that those are humanoid characters made with small cubes. I would say they look a lot like LEGO Brick Heads. You can buy them as non-fungible tokens (NFTs) and be their owner till the blockchain will exist 😉. But this is not all about them. You have to know, that some Voxes are more unique than others. Gala cooperates with two well-known companies, AMC and Dreamworks. The first one can boast of producing The Walking Dead TV show. That’s why you can become an owner of a unique Vox in The Walking Dead style! Dreamworks is even more famous than AMC. It’s highly plausible, that you watched at least one of their productions. Shrek, Kungfu Panda, Madagascar and Trolls are a couple of movies DreamWorks gave us over the last decades. In this case, the movie Trolls is the most important, because this is the one on which new Voxes are based. You can already buy them. For every single one of them, you have to pay 0.888 ETH. Considering the fact we are in a bear market it’s not cheap. Besides the let’s say “licensed” Voxes created in cooperation with outside companies, you are able to buy Town Star or Mirandus inspired characters. Mirandus and Town Star are Gala Games studio games.
There is another aspect of Voxes you should know about. Every Vox has its unique skills. For example, Voxes from The Walking Dead series may be more fearless than others.
Every Vox will be part of a huge community. Every member will play a different role in the community. There are going to be many things you can take care of. For example, you can become even a crime lord. You just have to be famous and feared. I have to admit this is a very interesting concept.
The creators of Voxverse want Voxes to be multiverse characters. For instance, you can use your Vox to play in Voxverse and any other metaverse accepted by Gala.
Voxverse is a web3 metaverse. The size of its area is 60.84 square kilometers. The entire space is open for exploration. Let’s honestly say this is a huge area, so the question is wouldn’t it take a lot of time for players to get from one side of the map to the other? Auspiciously, Gallium (btw. this is the name of the studio that develops Voxverse) thought it through pretty well. There is going to be an entire train system. Each player will be able to use it and travel fast wherever he or she wants. The metaverse will contain five different regions. The main of them will be Voxopolis, the capital city. Besides that, you will be able to explore the jungle, desert, mountains, and ocean. It is worth to mention every one of these areas will contain different raw materials.
Another good idea is a proprietorship. All the buildings in Voxverse will belong to Voxes. The players will be able to design and furnish them.
Will Wright is the most important of them. If you do not know who he is, let me introduce him. We could play The Sims, Spore, and many other games thanks to Will. He is the hero of many gamers and the boss of Gallium.
I am honestly tired of metaverses that look like Minecraft. This is just ugly. I know the hidden reason why so many companies try to copy Minecraft design style. It’s all about money. It’s way cheaper to create a design based on a few cubes, than a smooth but complex one. Unfortunately, all Voxes look very similar. It’s hard to tell from what edition they came from.
Based on the information I gathered from many interviews with Gala staff, the Gala website, and other sources I can say that Voxverse looks optimistic. But! Not much has been delivered yet. This is why I stay cautious and wait for some proof, that this project is going to provide good results.
